Community Living Supports are used to increase or maintain personal self-sufficiency, facilitating an individual’s achievement of her or his goals of community inclusion and participation, independence or productivity. The supports may be provided in the participant’s residence or in community settings (including, but not limited to, libraries, city pools, camps, etc.).

Respite services are provided to participants unable to care for themselves and are furnished on a short-term basis due to the absence of, or need of relief for, those individuals normally providing services and supports for the participant. Services may be provided in the participant’s home, in the home of another, or a licensed Adult Foster Care facility. Respite does not include the cost of room and board, except when provided as part of respite furnished in a facility approved by MDHHS that is not a private residence.

The Home Help program is administered by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and provides personal care services to individuals who need hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).  MDHHS is responsible for approving Home Help providers for participation in the program. We are an approved provider under the State of Michigan.

Social Security's Representative Payment Program provides benefit payment management for our beneficiaries who are incapable of managing their Social Security or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments. We appoint a suitable representative payee (payee) who manages the payments on behalf of the beneficiaries. Generally, we look for family or friends to serve as payees. When friends or family members are not able to serve as payees, we look for qualified organizations or ICCS can provide the services.
